Observations on Awkward Moments with Your Language Learning Software

Picture this: a dark bedroom; a teenage boy dimly lit from some light spilling from a distant room; he is in a bathrobe tied loosely at his middle; he gestures fluidly towards a young girl in the bed to his right; she is completely unaware of the vignette unfolding around her sleeping figure; the boy says to you in whispered German, "This is my sister. Her name is Anna, she is sleeping in a bedroom. She is far away from her parents"

Rosetta Stone, you are the creepiest language learning software I have ever used. I feel like we just may have crossed a line that's going to make it difficult for us to look each other in the eyes tomorrow morning for unit 4.
